Frasers Property (Thailand) bids for good: donating to the Foundation for the Blind in Thailand

BANGKOK, 18 NOVEMBER 2022

Frasers Property (Thailand) Public Company Limited, or “FPT”, supported the blind by making a 9.5 million baht bidding on an auction of the Royal Limited Edition Leica M10-P camera set specially made on the auspicious occasion of the coronation of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun in 2019, which was organised by Christie’s Auction (Thailand) to support good deeds for 22 charitable organisations. As a means to promote equal social opportunities, FPT’s contribution benefitted the Foundation for the Blind in Thailand to support education and vocational skills.

Mr. Thanapol Sirithanachai, Country CEO of Frasers Property (Thailand) Public Company Limited, mentioned that Frasers Property Thailand wants to be a part of improving the quality of lives of people without bias against gender, age, or ability. As such the Company has continuously participated in activities for the betterment of society, and took part in the event organised by Christie’s Auction (Thailand), in order to contribute towards the missions of the 22 charitable organisations.

The in-kind donation in the amount of 9.5 million baht was given to the Foundation for the Blind in Thailand under the Royal Patronage of HM the Queen. Mr. Khan Prachuabmoh, President of the Foundation for the Blind in Thailand, Mrs. Saowanee Suwannacheep, Vice President of the Foundation for the Blind in Thailand and Mr. Nitikorn Kraivixien, Secretary of the Photographic Arts Foundation and former Chairman of the Royal Photographic Society of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of H.M. the King, represented the Foundation for the Blind to receive the donation.

The Foundation for the Blind in Thailand, FPT’s longstanding local partner of Frasers Property, is Thailand’s first non-profit charitable organization which helps the blind, with the aim of assisting them in enhancing their knowledge, skills, and experience required for living their daily lives. The work is carried out through 5 institutions, which are the Bangkok School for the Blind, the Skills Development Center for the Blind, the Educational Technology Center for the Blind, Lighthouse for the Blind, and the Vocational Training Center for the Blind Women at Sampran.

“To support equal opportunities in society, the Company continuously strives to help people with health conditions or impairments as we believe that every individual has potential to improve their capabilities. We will continue to support opportunities for education and vocational skills,” Mr. Thanapol added.
